Gen. Bajwa highlights Pakistan’s perspective on global & regional security at MSC


The Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that terrorism has been eliminated from Pakistan and there are no terrorists’ hideouts on our soil.

He expressed these views while addressing Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Germany. He said that terrorist attacks are being carried out from Afghanistan side.

He said Pakistan has been hosting three million Afghan refugees and now, time has come to repatriate these refugees to their own country.

He emphasized on international cooperation for elimination of the menace of terrorism. He said world has taken no extra steps for eradication of terrorism.

The Army Chief said that Pakistan has rendered unprecedented sacrifices in war against terrorism. He said we have defeated Al Qaeda, Jamaat-ul- Ahrar and Tehreek-e-Taliban.

The Army Chief pointed out that there are reports of shifting of Daesh to Afghanistan. He said Pakistan and Afghanistan have reiterated their resolve not to allow use of soil against each other.

He said the border management with Afghanistan has been improved.

He said National Action Plan is being implemented in letter and spirit and bio-metric system has been installed at border crossing with Afghanistan.
