In occupied Kashmir, the General Secretary of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has challenged the Indian rulers and their local collaborators to call forces’ personnel back to their barracks and see how the people give verdict about their future political status.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the torture of thousands of youth who are languishing in police lock-ups and said that on one hand, these youth were caged inside the dark rooms and on other, rates for their release had been fixed.
He also condemned the reign of terror unleashed by the occupational forces in Rahmoo area of Pulwama and termed it the worst display of state terrorism. Shabbir Ahmad Shah while castigating the puppet regime and it associates, said, “The lust of power has made you blind. It is because of your party’s full backing that forces are snatching the light of our children. It is extremely unfortunate that the puppet Chief Minister and the education minister are exploiting the students in the name of examination in order to save their chairs but don’t even utter a word in favour of those children who lost their eyesight.”
Describing Mehbooba Mufti as martial law administrator, Shabbir Shah said that she had turned the whole Kashmir Valley into the Karbala where innocent children were being booked under black law Public Safety Act.
He said that the beating of a retired Deputy Superintendent of Kashmir Police and his family by Indian Army personnel was an eye-opener and a lesson for the local police.
Meanwhile, other Hurriyet leaders including Yasmeen Raja, Javed Ahmad Mir, Farooq Ahmad Tawheedi, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo and Muslim League in their separate statements in Srinagar said that the example of tyranny and barbarism that India was carrying out in Jammu and Kashmir could not be found in any part of the world.
