Kashmiri students reflect Kashmir pain at model OIC summit



The 4th International Model OIC was held in Mashhad, Iran, from 22nd October to 28th Oct, 2016, and it was attended by 100 students from 40 universities of the OIC Member States.

Two young Kashmiri seminary students, Waseem Raza and Agha Syed Owais Abbas Moosvi, also participated in the event.

While addressing the event Waseem Raza said, “Kashmir is a conflict between three parties – Pakistan, India and people of Kashmir. Tens of thousands of people have been killed since 1947 and over 100-day curfew has crippled life of common people in the territory.”

He said that Kashmir’s is a peaceful movement and Kashmiris are fighting politically for their right. The need of the hour is to resolve the Kashmir dispute through result-oriented dialogue process and relevant resolutions of the United Nations, he added.

Agha Syed Owais Abbas Moosvi condemned the human rights violations across the globe and appealed to India and Pakistan to resolve the long pending Kashmir dispute peacefully.

On the sidelines of the Conference, Waseem Raza and Agha Syed Owais Abbas Moosvi met Advisor to Turkism Prime Minister, Ali Osman, and other leaders.
