Karachi Women Cricket announced for participating in the forthcoming Mrs. Saad Invitational Women Cricket Tournament to be scheduled from November 1, 2016 here at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium.
This was stated by former Test cricketer Jalal Uddin while talking to news51.
He said the team will be arriving at Peshawar on early Sunday morning.
Jalal Uddin, who had the honor of the first Pakistani fast bowler for making hat-trick in the One-Day International, said that they have a camp in Pakistan Customs Cricket Academy Karachi wherein the female players imparted game training and coaching.
Jalal Uddin disclosed that Ramin Shamin was named as captain of the Karachi team while Hoorina Sajjad will assist her as vice-captain.
The other players selected in the team comprising Sana Urooj, Rida Hussain, Aysha Amajd, Najia Alvi (wicket-keeper), Salmana Zulfiqar, Shabnam Hayat, Misbah Khan, Aysha Malik, Alisha Ashraf, Anusha Nasir and Sehrish Jafri. Aamir Iqbal is the coach with Muhammad Muzamil will act as assistant coach. Miss Ambar will act as manager of the team.
He said the team will play its first match on Tuesday. A total of four teams including Karachi, Mardan and two teams from Peshawar will be taking part in the second edition of the tournament organized by Malik Saad Shaheed Sports Trust.
